How To Celebrate St. Patrick's in Dublin, CA

Are you looking to embrace the magic on St. Patrick's Day? Below, you can check out some ways to celebrate this holiday right here in Dublin, California.

Have a Drink at Three Sheets Craft Beer Bar

Nothing says St. Paddy's Day like a night at a pub. If you're celebrating the holiday with a group of fellow adults, you and your crew can visit Three Sheets Craft Beer Bar in Dublin, California, for a fun night. This bar will be open from 1 p.m. until midnight on Friday, March 17, so you'll be able to celebrate late into the night. If you want to celebrate on Sunday, you can come anytime between noon and midnight. This bar is also open on Sunday from noon until 8 p.m.

While you're here, you can snag a table or bar stool on the first or second floor. It's plenty spacious, so you're sure to find a comfortable nook where you and your friends can spend the night. To truly get in the spirit of St. Paddy's Day, you can browse Three Sheets' beer selection, which contains over 30 taps. Some options include the Maui Waui IPA and the Mumbo Jumbo IPA, but you can browse the complete lineup to find a flavor that suits your taste buds.

If beer isn't really your thing but you still like the pub environment, you can come to sip on one of five available wines, which include chardonnay and pinot noir. The restaurant also has pizza available for order. You can get plain cheese or top it off with pepperoni or olives. When you're done eating, you can head over to the bar's corn hole boards for some friendly competition on this lighthearted holiday.

Go to the City of Dublin's St. Patrick's Day Celebration

If you're celebrating St. Paddy's Day with your kids and family, you may choose to attend the City of Dublin's St. Patrick's Day Celebration. This year, the event will take place on the weekend directly after St. Patrick's Day. The event is two days long and will occur on Saturday, March 18th, and Sunday, March 19th, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. for both days.

It'll be at the Dublin Civic Center, which is very fitting since this location is at the very heart of the city of Dublin. In past years, over 80,000 people from different cities, states, and countries have come together to celebrate this holiday here, and the city projects a similar turnout this year.

On both Saturday and Sunday, you and your crew can enjoy endless Irish-themed fun. You'll get to enjoy entertainment from live bands playing traditional folk songs, snack on authentic Irish food and beverages, and visit over 150 arts and crafts vendors. There will also be carnival rides for everyone from younger children to adults to enjoy.

To round out all the fun that'll be happening at the Dublin Civic Center, there will also be other events happening nearby. For example, on Saturday morning, the Alameda County Firefighters Local 55 group will be hosting its annual pancake breakfast. Once you fill up on hotcakes, you can watch the festive Dublin Lions Club Parade, which will feature decked-out vehicles from local sponsors.

On Sunday morning, you can ensure that you and your crew lace up your running shoes to participate in the annual Shamrock 5K Fun Run and Walk. Once you're done running, you can relax and unwind at the main celebration for the rest of the day.

Enjoy the San Ramon Community Chorus & Dancers St. Patrick's Day Concert

If you're looking for something to do on the actual holiday, you may attend the San Ramon Community Chorus & Dancers St. Patrick's Day Concert. This year, the concert will take place on Friday, March 17th from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. With the short show length, it's perfect for younger children who may not have a long attention span. The concert has free admission and is at the Alcosta Senior & Community Center on Alcosta Boulevard. It'll feature talented young singers and dancers who've worked hard to put together a memorable production for everyone in attendance.

Visit the Dublin Heritage Park & Museums
