Market Tavern Dublin

If you love delicious, well-made, exquisitely presented food but don't want to break the bank, of if you love spending time in a cozy environment, head to Market Tavern Dublin. The ambiance here is neat, chic, and relaxed, and the food is quite simply on another level.

The kitchen at Market Tavern prides itself on making almost everything from scratch. The restaurant serves a great weekend brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Regular customers highly recommend the MT breakfast sandwich, house-made chicken apple sausage scramble, and griddled corn bread. If you're bringing your children, you don't need to worry, even if they're picky — the menu also includes chocolate chip pancakes, scrambled eggs, and a kids' French toast that will cater to palates of all ages.

Denica's Real Food Kitchen

There's nothing like a hearty, cafe-style, classic American brunch, and that's exactly what you're going to get when you visit Denica's Real Food Kitchen. Denica's is particularly popular with families. Though you can't go wrong with almost anything on the menu, you should try some of the local favorites, such as the strawberry waffles or Pesto Florentine omelet. The kitchen also serves a selection of delicious sweet and savory crepes you can try.

One word of caution: because Denica's is one of the best places in town, expect long lines if you're popping by for a weekend brunch. On Saturdays and Sundays, the restaurant opens at 7 a.m. and keeps serving customers until 2 p.m., so if you want to skip the lines entirely, try to get there on the earlier side of that time frame.

Bocado - Un Petit Bistro

Families or friends looking for more vegetarian or even vegan-friendly options will love the variety of healthy, meat-free options that Bocado - Un Petit Bistro provides its customers. The menu features a selection of sweet and savory crepes. Guests love the Primavera crepe as a savory option, which you can follow with the Suzette if you fancy something sweet to finish.

You can also order a variety of croissanwiches. Pick something simple such as the Carpe Diem for breakfast, which features a butter croissant with ham, scrambled eggs, and American cheese, or go for the richer Hazel, which includes Nutella, fruit, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce.

Black Bear Diner

If you're looking for a classic, simple, diner-style American brunch, look no further than Black Bear Diner. If you're feeling extra hungry, the Hungry Bear Breakfasts are the way to go. Pick from choices such as Bigfoot Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs and The Grizz! with two sweet cream pancakes and a slew of bacon and sausage on the side. As with most traditional American diners, you can't go wrong asking for one of the the delicious burgers or omelets either.

The Press - Pleasanton

At many places, brunch usually means indulgence and perhaps overdoing it on the portion sizes, but at The Press - Pleasanton, you can enjoy a delicious brunch while staying healthy. In addition to the variety of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options that this cafe offers, there are a variety of flavorful dishes with reasonable portions that you'll absolutely love.

At this artisan café, you can order paninis, salads, sandwiches, and a great selection of coffee or tea to jumpstart your day. The environment is cute but casual, as you simply order at the counter and then wait for your order at the table. The Press - Pleasanton is open between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. every day except Sundays, when it's closed.

Monica's Livermore

Drop by Monica's Livermore for the best American comfort food, all served in an incredible historic environment by friendly staff who will make you feel right at home. This brunch restaurant is set in an old building that used to house one of the area's original wineries.

Monica's prides itself on sourcing local, fresh, and seasonal ingredients, so only the most quality items make it from the farm to your plate. The restaurant serves a selection of baked goods, egg, and griddle dishes. Try the Belgian waffle, the loaded hash browns, or "get fancy" with the indulgent churro, banana nut, salted caramel apple, and berries and whipped cream combination. The Big A$$ French Toast (yes, that is the actual name) is also a local favorite. Not to mention their bottomless mimosas!

The restaurant is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends.

Blossom Bee

This small cafe serves dishes with a Thai twist, so if you want to try something different for your next brunch, drop by Blossom Bee. There are only a few tables, which are mostly in the outdoor area, so many people come by for takeout. However, if you secure a spot, the food is definitely worth it.

Try unique specials such as the Yellow Curry crepe, the Thai Basil Chicken crepe, or the Massaman curry. Locals rave about the strong flavors of this menu, which is why they also don't mind waiting a little longer on weekends when the line for a Thai-inspired crepe may be out the door.

Blossom Bee is open Tuesdays to Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

From classic American comfort food to unique Asian-inspired dishes, Dublin in California serves up a variety of brunch specials all around town.
